Mount Fuji as seen from my terrace

This post is going to make me sound like I am not the sharpest tool in the box, but I wanted to share something with you that I noticed last week.
We have been living in this house for around two and a half years, regularly using the terrace attached to our living room (which is incidentally upstairs!) for drying laundry, sitting in the sun and recently taking photos for my etsy shop. Last week, on a particularly beautiful evening complete with characteristic Japanese red sunset, I wondered to hubby if we could see the mountains from the terrace. When we looked, we could see THE mountain of Japan silhouetted against the red sky.
Since then, I check every morning and evening and tip a nod to Fuji-san, now thankful for our wonderful view.

  1. It's so neat that you can see Mount Fuji from your terrace!

  2. something so apparent it was missed. Right in your background.... or maybe front! lol It is a beautiful sight!

  3. Beautiful picture! It would be great to wake up to that every day.

  4. Well, there she is...I'm totally impressed...but even more so, you have to just love the blogosphere...I was telling my Mom this AM about the prints that I posted and that comments from Japan, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Jersey were left on my blog as a result...wonderful..please send my warmest regards to 'the mount'...

    all the best,

  5. That is totally something I would do. How sad is it that we so often miss the beauty right in front of us. I'm glad you "discovered" it and can appreciate it now.

  6. What a great view you have.

I wish I will have this kind of view.
